Desmo is just unneeded internal moving parts. It is a good solution to floating the valves at high rpm. Totally fixes that problem. Many motorcycles rev very high. I have noticed that when getting on it, once in a while it will sputter at high RPM and not go any higher in the rev range. I always have to let off. It usually seems pretty random but when I went to the drag strip it did this in 3 out of my 4 runs, completely ruining them.Sometimes during a hard acceleration when I get somewhere over 8500 rpms the fuel injection light comes on and the bike stalls and sputters and then I give a little more throttle and it just pops back to life. If the radiator is running under pressure the engine sputters and struggles to run at times - I believe because an over-pressurized coolant system is forcing some coolant into the engine.
